Our Location & History
The Windham Southwest Supervisory Union (WSWSU) Central Office is located in the historic Old School Community Center in Wilmington, Vermont. Once home to the town’s school, the building has long served as a hub for learning, connection, and community.
After its years as a school, the building was reimagined as the Old School Community Center, continuing its role as a gathering place and resource for the region. Today, we are proud to share space in a building that reflects both our educational mission and the rich history of Wilmington.
By situating our Central Office here, we honor the building’s legacy while supporting the schools, students, and families of the Windham Southwest Supervisory Union.
The Old School Enrichment Council (OSEC) was formed in 2013 by a group of community-minded volunteers, with a focus on meeting the overwhelming need to provide a central location for multi-generational interaction, community gathering, recreation, services and resources that are not currently available locally to regional residents. In 2014 the current building was purchased. Formerly the Wilmington High School, then Twin Valley High School parts of this building date back 120+ years.
